On Thursday 23 May 2024, Condé Nast Traveller hosted A Taste of Louis Roederer at MiMi Mei Fair in Mayfair, London. Louis Roederer, one of the last great family-owned Champagne houses, is known for its organic and biodynamic farming. Alexis Deligny from Louis Roederer guided guests through a selection of Champagnes. MiMi Mei Fair is a discreet dining experience in a three-storey Georgian townhouse on Curzon Street, with Chinoiserie interiors inspired by old-world China. The event featured a signature tasting menu of authentic and innovative Chinese dishes paired with Louis Roederer Champagnes. The event took place at 7pm and tickets started at £160 per person.
In a separate event, Davidoff Hong Kong recently hosted a private VIP dinner at Ami | Wood Ear in Hong Kong to showcase the latest offerings from both brands to their top clients and business partners. The event featured a bespoke haute cuisine experience crafted by Michelin-starred chef Nicolas Boutin and a selection of four exquisite Juyondai Sakes. Among the offerings were the highly sought-after Juyondai Ranbiki-shu and the latest launch from Davidoff, the Maduro Limited Edition. The event provided a unique opportunity to explore the innovative combination of the new Davidoff Maduro with luxurious spirits. Laurent de Rougemont, Managing Director for Davidoff Asia, described the flavor profile of the combination as smooth and perfectly balanced. The Maduro Limited Edition is available only in limited quantities worldwide.
Regent Hong Kong's Michelin-starred restaurant Lai Ching Heen is offering a Puer tea tasting menu for the summer. The restaurant, known for its elegant jade decor and traditional Cantonese cooking methods, has received numerous accolades including being featured in 100 Top Tables' best restaurant guide, holding two Michelin stars, and two Black Pearl diamonds. The special Yunnan Pu Er Tea Tasting Menu combines premium ingredients such as Yunnan tea leaves, Japanese Wagyu beef, French duck liver, South African abalone, and Nepalese rock rice. The menu was crafted in collaboration with tea partner Tong Qing Hao and offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the blend of Cantonese cuisine and Chinese tea culture.
