Louis Vuitton has launched Le Chocolat Maxime Frederic at Louis Vuitton in Marina Bay Sands Singapore, a dedicated chocolate store by award-winning French pastry chef, Maxime Frederic. The shop offers an assortment of chocolates made at Louis Vuitton's Paris headquarters using cacao sourced from small-scale farmers in Vietnam, Peru, Madagascar, Dominican Republic, as well as Sao Tome and Príncipe. The centrepiece at Le Chocolat Maxime Frederic at Louis Vuitton in Singapore is the Vivienne on Malle, a flower mascot perched on top of a trunk that pirouettes when a chocolate key is turned. Prices start from SGD 30 for a chocolate bar to SGD 420 for Vivienne on Malle. Both Vivienne on Malle and Petula, a lion mascot filled with coated hazelnuts, are currently sold out and have a waitlist. Frederic is also the chef patissier at upscale Paris hotel Cheval Blanc and has created a savoury lunch menu for the Louis Vuitton Cafe and Chocolaterie in Paris. After Singapore, Louis Vuitton plans to open a restaurant later this year together with celebrated chef Gaggan Anand [472e4ac2].
