US law firm Baker McKenzie has announced the promotion of 45 new partners across its international network in its annual summer promotions round. This follows the promotion of 21 new partners in North and Latin America in January. The firm has made significant progress towards its gender diversity targets, with women making up 52% of this year's promotions, the highest in the firm's history. The promotions were concentrated in the M&A, tax, and dispute resolution practices. Europe saw the most new partners, with 23 promotions, including six in London. The Asia Pacific region had nine new partners in Bangkok, Thailand. The Middle East, Africa, and South America also saw promotions. In addition to the partner promotions, Baker McKenzie has also brought in 48 lateral partners during the financial year. The full list of new partners for 2024 can be found in the article [3a1aa1d8].
