Construction has begun on a new £1.4m centre at Preston College in Preston, Lancashire, that will house T-Level courses in digital and creative subjects. The project, managed by FWP, aims to transform existing facilities into cutting-edge digital suites, creative and design studios, and a gaming testing room. The construction is being carried out by Carefoot and is scheduled to be completed by the first week of August. This is the second major refurbishment at Preston College supported by FWP, using funds granted by the Department for Education. T-Levels are an alternative to A-Levels and apprenticeships, focusing on technical skills and including a compulsory industry placement of 45 days over two years.
