Amenfiman Rural Bank Plc has announced plans to provide loans of up to 400,000 cedis to support 2,500 small and micro-scale enterprises in Ghana. This initiative comes after the bank recorded over GH₵1 billion in deposits by June 2024, marking a significant 70.03% increase from GH₵631 million in June 2023. The program, part of the 'AMERB Donkomi Promo', aims to facilitate economic recovery in the region. The bank is particularly focused on empowering women and youth-led businesses by offering flexible loans at a competitive interest rate of 2.5% per month. Clients can access these loans with only 20% of the required capital, making it more accessible for small business owners. Dr. Alexander Asmah, the bank's CEO, emphasized the critical role of supporting the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector for national economic growth. This initiative aligns with broader efforts in Ghana to bolster local businesses and enhance financial inclusion [3dcfbe97].
