The Chemical Industry Labor-Management Committee (CILMC) hosted a visit for U.S. Representative Haley Stevens (MI-11th) at the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART)'s Joint Apprenticeship Training Center in Troy, MI. During the visit, Rep. Stevens learned about the CILMC partnership and policy initiatives important to growing the U.S. economy, including reforming the permitting process for new energy and manufacturing projects. She also gained hands-on experience and explored the history of the labor movement. Representatives from CILMC trustees, including the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and Solvay America, were present during the visit.
