The Calcutta High Court's single-judge bench of Justice Amrita Sinha will now be hearing the matters related to irregularities in the recruitment of primary teachers in state-run schools of West Bengal. Previously, the cases were heard by Justice Rajasekhar Mantha, who has been elevated to head a division bench. Some cases related to police matters will be shifted from Justice Sinha's bench to the bench of Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj. The new 'Master of Rosters' will ensure that the cases already allotted to Justice Sinha will continue to be heard by her, while cases allotted after 2022 will be heard by Justice Bharadwaj.
