On Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain (Maj.) and Father Severyn Kelyalyshian hosted a Catholic mass for deployed Soldiers and members of the Powidz military community at the chapel on the forward operating site in Poland. In Cebu City, the police are preparing for a peaceful observance of the Holy Week. At least 300 policemen will be deployed in various areas of Cebu City starting on Wednesday, March 27. Police visibility will be increased in churches and other public places, with police assistance desks set up in 33 identified churches. They also detained 39 persons and recovered 203 unlicensed guns, seven explosives, and 162 bullets in their campaign against loose firearms.
