The non-profit organization Ditlalemeso Foundation from Mamelodi recently donated boxes of clothes to Tshwane Child Welfare in Mamelodi. The donation was made to help children from disadvantaged families stay warm during the cold winter. The organization collected clothes from the community, friends, and families, and they plan to establish a lasting relationship with the center. Additionally, they are in talks with shopping malls to set up drop boxes for clothes donations. Tshwane Child Welfare social worker Gloria Mangena expressed gratitude for the donation and stated that they will distribute the clothes to vulnerable children. The organization is also requesting the public's help in donating school uniforms and clothes for all ages [38200c8e].
In addition to the Ditlalemeso Foundation's donation, other nonprofits and organizations continue to work tirelessly to spread joy and support those in need. Operation Christmas Child, led by Franklin Graham, has collected about 11 million gifts for children. The Office for the Aging (OFA) in Oswego County has launched its 'Santa for Seniors' program, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is organizing a coat donation drive called 'Coats for Kids'. Toys for Tots in New Orleans is also facing increased need for toy donations this year. The Salvation Army offers various assistance programs, including the Christmas Assistance program and support for families and individuals facing financial hardships. Sleep In Heavenly Peace is working to provide beds to thousands of kids in need in Hamilton County, Ohio. Community Connections in Moose Jaw is expanding its services to provide meals and necessities to those in need. Oishei Children's Hospital is hosting its first-ever Giving Day to raise awareness and support for children's healthcare. Give to Lincoln Day supports the programming and operations of Lincoln's nonprofits, and the Lincoln Community Foundation leads this effort.
