Citi has hired Alex Craddock, formerly the Global Chief Marketing Officer at BlackRock, as its new Chief Marketing and Content Officer. In this role, Craddock will report to Citi's Chief Client Officer, David Livingstone, and will be responsible for driving revenue growth through enhanced client impact. He will oversee an integrated marketing and content organization, leading Citi's enterprise marketing and brand engagement team, as well as the marketing teams for various divisions within the company. Craddock's appointment comes as Citigroup reported a net loss of $1.8 billion in Q4 2023.
Meanwhile, Channel 4 has appointed Katie Jackson as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Jackson, who previously served as Channel 4's interim Chief Marketing Officer and was Managing Director of the in-house agency, 4creative, will lead marketing and brand strategy for the organization. She will play a key role in Channel 4's Fast Forward strategy, ensuring that its content and brands stand out in the market. Jackson will report directly to Chief Executive Alex Mahon and takes up her new role immediately.
These appointments reflect the importance of marketing and brand strategy in the financial and media industries, as both Citi and Channel 4 aim to enhance their impact and differentiate themselves in the market.
