Katy ISD, a school district in Katy, Texas, made an impressive showing at the Destination Imagination 2024 Global Finals held in Kansas City, Missouri. The district sent a record number of 16 teams to the competition, which took place from May 22-25, 2024. Among the participants, six teams from Katy ISD achieved top rankings, showcasing the creativity and problem-solving skills of the district's students. One standout team, T-R. EX from Beckendorff Junior High, received the prestigious Renaissance Award for their exceptional design, engineering, execution, and performance skills. The challenges in the competition encompassed various categories such as Scientific, Fine Arts, and Improvisational.
