On September 4, 2024, a significant food processing training program was organized by Aaranyak in collaboration with CRMHS in Chandrasing Rongpi village, Karbi Anglong, Assam. This initiative aimed to empower local women and uplift the local economy, with 20 participants from the Kohora River Basin and Diring River Basin taking part in the training [46168d2b]. The program covered essential topics such as food safety, local produce selection, preservation techniques, and product development, equipping the women with valuable skills for their communities.
Local experts, Mrs. Mina Tokbipi and Mrs. Larbin Timungpi, coordinated the sessions, teaching participants how to make various products, including pickles, jam, and chili sauce.
