Dubai-based venture capital firm NB Ventures has announced plans to launch a new fund in partnership with Mumbai-based early-stage venture firm Blume Ventures. NB Ventures, which has previously invested in over 50 start-ups across various industries, aims to help Indian start-ups expand their business in the West Asian geography by providing them with the right resources. The firm's founder and Managing Director, Neelesh Bhatnagar, mentioned that he is currently investing through his family office and is also a limited partner in more than 10 funds. This collaboration between NB Ventures and Blume Ventures highlights the growing momentum in the venture capital and start-up investment landscape in the Middle East and India.
In other news, Auberge Resorts Collection has partnered with BDT & MSD Partners, a merchant bank, for a strategic investment. BDT & MSD will make a minority investment in Auberge Resorts Collection through its affiliated hospitality investment vehicle. The investment will help Auberge expand its presence in the Americas, Europe, and other markets. Auberge Resorts Collection, which is part of The Friedkin Group, currently has a portfolio of 27 properties and plans to open two more properties later this year.
