In Namosi, Fiji, the landowners of the Vanua of Nabukebuke and Nawaidina have expressed disappointment with Minister for Lands Filimoni Vosarogo for allegedly not communicating well with the Namosi Provincial Office regarding the postponement of their meeting. The meeting was supposed to discuss the renewal of the Special Prospecting License 14:20. This marks the third time the Minister has postponed the meeting, which was cancelled without prior notice. The landowners are demanding professionalism from the Minister and the government in utilizing their collective natural resources. In response to the frustration, Vosarogo has confirmed that he will attend the meeting on May 8th. The landowners held a meeting without government officials present, and they include more than 200 people from the Vanua of Nabukebuke and Naitavuni [4756366d].
