Louisa Brown '24, a math and Spanish major, reflected on her own experiences presenting research at the poster session. She discussed the diverse range of topics presented, including the influence of TikTok on health, the mathematics behind popular music, and the association between artificial sweeteners and cancer. Brown also shared her own research on predicting March Madness basketball upsets using statistical models and her project on the ADFGVX cipher during her MayX in London. Furman Engaged is a day dedicated to highlighting the unique learning experiences offered at Furman University.
