On May 19, the family of Sade Robinson accepted a posthumous degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) in honor of the 19-year-old who was killed and dismembered in April [2b22b331]. Robinson had been studying criminal justice at MATC and was scheduled to graduate on the same day. Her mother and sister attended the ceremony and accepted the associate in arts degree on her behalf [2b22b331].
The remains of Sade Robinson were found in multiple locations in Milwaukee and South Milwaukee. Authorities are now investigating a human arm found in Waukegan, Illinois, to determine if it is connected to Robinson's case [2b22b331].
Maxwell Anderson has been charged in connection with Sade Robinson's death and is set to appear in court in July [2b22b331].
In addition to Sade Robinson, another student named Amari Smith, who was killed by a reckless driver, also received a posthumous degree at the ceremony [2b22b331].
Dr. Diamond Clarke, a 28-year-old woman who recently graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine, was found dead with a gunshot wound to her head. Her body was discovered on May 28, weeks after she graduated. Her phone was found in the driveway of her home and her abandoned car was found nearby. Her family believes foul play was involved and her friend, Darren Anglin, said the circumstances surrounding her death don't add up. Police records state that Clarke's boyfriend was the last to see her and they had argued before she left and never returned. The police initially ruled her death as a suicide, but her family is pushing for a thorough investigation to rule out foul play. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
