Former Finance Minister Njeru Githae has fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a published author by launching 15 books of fiction. Githae, who retired from politics and public service, attributed the delay in writing and publishing his books to his active career. The titles of the books include 'The Trial of Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi,' 'The Trial of the Mysterious Mugo wa Kibiru,' and 'The Trial of Tom Mboya.' The launch event took place at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi and was attended by Court of Appeal Judge Mwaniki Gachoka and former Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho. Judge Gachoka emphasized the importance of Kenyan writers telling Kenyan and African stories, while Kibicho called on Kenyans to embrace the culture of reading African literature [978a653a].
